The implemented solution: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist

The solution implemented was Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist, together with Microsoft's HoloLens 2 Mixed Reality viewer, with the aim of promoting the digitalisation of the company in all its plants and providing a response to all its customers.

With the integration of Hololens 2 and Microsoft Dynamics 365, at Estamp's different sites, its operators can connect remotely and in real time with glasses and Mixed Reality software to carry out internal audits and validate processes at other plants.

This technology allows the user to interact with virtual elements, such as graphic indications on the real space, shared files or shared screens, to resolve incidents in real time and remotely.

About Estamp

Estamp is a world leader in the development and production of parts for the automotive industry. Its aim is to help its customers to be more competitive, with the manufacture of parts for the automotive sector, based on metal stampings for thermal, thermo-acoustic and electromagnetic insulation.

The company works with the leading brands in the automotive industry, with a clear commitment to innovation and commitment to sustainable development and clean mobility, thus adapting to changes in a sector as changing as the automotive sector.

What does Estamp need?

Estamp needed a tool that would allow it to carry out internal audits and provide remote support between its different plants, which are located around the world, in order to save travel and carry out validation processes much more quickly and efficiently.

Therefore, the company required a solution to solve problems in real time with their hands free, and thus achieve maximum efficiency in remote inspections. An effective solution that also allowed for maximum interaction through video, screenshots and annotations.

Opting for Mixed Reality with the HoloLens 2 viewer and the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist solution has meant a great change for the company in terms of productivity, as they avoid unnecessary travel and reduce costs with remote validations and inspections, from the different plants they have around the world.

Benefits

Mixed Reality technology allows the incorporation of new tools, data and instructions in a faster way, offering a differential value to customers and/or technicians.

The implementation of this technology is carried out in much less time, so the learning curve is exponentially reduced. In addition, the functionalities of Mixed Reality help to make the production phase faster and more efficient.

In turn, through Mixed Reality, you can access hundreds of internal data from anywhere in the world or easily create your own connectors.

Client feedback
"With the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and the HoloLens 2 Mixed Reality glasses, we have been able to remove barriers to auditing and remote support in all our plants. In our company, we are constantly driving digitalisation in all areas and, thanks to Mixed Reality, we can provide a faster response to our customers, thus optimising communication between the different sites".
