The implemented solution: TRAINING FOR THE TEACHING STAFF
After becoming aware of the high potential that Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality could bring to the Innova FP programme, Invelon took charge of training Innova FP teachers from different professional families, such as IT, electronics and mechanical manufacturing. In addition, the participating centres were provided with Virtual Reality glasses in order to incorporate VR and AR content to the professional studies.
About INNOVA FP
Innova FP was created with the intention of collaborating with companies and organisations in the area surrounding the centres to develop innovation and knowledge transfer projects that contribute to improving the competitiveness of companies. The centres in the Innova FP programme develop innovation projects to improve products, services or industrial or management processes and, following a rapid development methodology, they look for a way to solve the challenge, study its viability and immediately move on to the practical implementation of prototypes that demonstrate this viability. They then improve the prototype until the product is industrialised or the service or process is put into operation.
What does INNOVA FP need?
The Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality training carried out at Innova FP has served to raise awareness and update the knowledge of vocational training teachers in these new technologies and has led to improved training for their students.
Benefits
The teaching staff has been able to develop new methodologies, keeping up to date with the knowledge and techniques of VR and AR in companies, and therefore, improve the curricular programming of the professional modules they teach; adapting them quickly to the changes experienced by the labour market, innovating with immersive technologies, increasing the competitiveness of companies and improving the insertion of students in companies.
- New knowledge for vocational training teachers
- Improved training of students
- Increased competitiveness of companies
- Improved relations between the training centre and the company
Client feedback
The Virtual and Augmented Reality training provided by Invelon Technologies has helped Innova FP's vocational training teachers to gain new knowledge about these new technologies and has had a very positive impact on all the agents involved in our programme; from the application of these new concepts in the training of students, to the improvement of relations between our training centres and companies, as AR and AR help them to increase the competitiveness of their businesses.
