About AQUAVIA SPA
Aquavia Spa is the leading manufacturer of Spas and Swimspas in Europe and is based in Barcelona. Intensive innovation and an absolute guarantee of quality have enabled Aquavia Spa to achieve more than thirty years of success and it continues to be committed to manufacturing its own spas, against the global trend of relocations.
They conceptualise, design, manufacture, test and market their spas by means of a process that, on demand and totally customised, allows them to deliver in less than three weeks. This agility is possible thanks to strict scheduling, and in accordance with LEAN processes, but also thanks to the reliability of a highly trained and experienced professional team.
Aquavia Spa manufactures spas for private and public use, spas for any type of nature and intensity of use, but always oriented towards exclusivity and maximising performance. Every year, more than 2,000 spas and swim spas are produced in its 5,000 m² factory for 40 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
What does AQUAVIA SPA need?
Based on 3D models of two of its products, we developed two different environments. An indoor and an outdoor space, with different environments: day and night. The main objective was to create a tool to create an immersive and descriptive experience of the product: to see the product in detail, to understand the dimensions of the product itself and to project it in a specific space.
Benefits
The solution has been presented at international trade fairs in the sector and the main benefit it has brought them is to increase the perception of brand value in their customers, who value investment in technology very positively.
Internally, it has allowed them to open new frontiers of research in terms of product: Firstly, the development of the tool, adding a tracking to be able to combine Virtual Reality and the product physically, with the aim of turning this application into another sales tool with the customer, who could experience the VR and its environment, and the real ergonomics of the product, the touch and even the water level when submerged. On the other hand, future projects are also planned to develop the solution for R&D projects.
Client feedback
The project we have co-created with Invelon has opened a door that allows us to simplify the explanation of our product to the end user. Our product is bulky, works with water and often cannot be tested during the purchasing process. A solution such as the one developed by Invelon allows us to simulate in a realistic environment, the water levels of the Spa for each type of user, to make them feel inside the product and to add another element to the purchasing process that, without a doubt, can help to convince the customer to buy. We are still at an early stage and we are still defining what the tool of the future should be like, but we do believe that this is the solution we need for the Aquavia Spa shops of the future.
