PICO launches two new Virtual Reality headsets: Pico Neo 3 Pro and Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye

Pico Interactive has launched its new generation of standalone Virtual Reality (VR) 6DoF headsets from its Neo line: Pico Neo 3 Pro and Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye, designed primarily for businesses.

Alongside these two headsets, Pico Interactive has developed a home-use model that will only be available in China. Meanwhile, in the West we will be able to enjoy the two models designed for the professional market.

Both devices feature four wide-angle cameras, a new 6DoF controller and an updated 4K curved display that enables 90 Hz experiences. On top of all that, the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye features native eye-tracking technology from Tobii, the world leader in this field.

The new headsets in Pico Interactive's Neo line integrate the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor and 6 GB of RAM in the Neo 3 Pro model, 8 GB of RAM in the Neo 3 Pro Eye model, and 256 GB of internal storage.

Pico Interactive's new releases feature a 3664 x 1920 LCD display with a 773 PPI, a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and a 98º field of view.

Both VR devices are standalone, which means they work autonomously, because they include a processor that lets you enjoy the Virtual Reality experience without having to connect the headset to a PC or console.

The four wide-angle cameras provide true millimetre-level positioning and tracking, even in low-texture environments with bright or dark settings.

Pico Interactive's new headsets are much lighter and more compact than their predecessors, offering very comfortable and ergonomic experiences thanks to the unique counterweight design.

They also include fully hygienic materials and a PU leather face cushion that is washable and easy to replace.

These headsets support NVIDIA direct mode for Pico VR Streaming with a native 4K at 90 Hz wired connection over DisplayPort. They are also compatible with Nvidia Cloud XR ™. In addition, the Pro Eye model is compatible with the Tobii XR Unity SDK, making it easier to integrate eye tracking into Virtual Reality applications.
