Innova FP
Boosting teacher training in the field of Virtual and Augmented Reality for Innova FP

The solution implemented: TRAINING FOR TEACHING STAFF
After learning about the great potential that Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality could bring to the Innova FP programme, at INVELON we took charge of delivering training for the teachers of Innova FP, who belonged to different professional families, such as computing, electronics and mechanical manufacturing. In addition, the participating centres were provided with Virtual Reality headsets so they could incorporate VR and AR content into vocational studies.
About INNOVA FP
Innova FP was created with the aim of collaborating with companies and organisations around the centres, to develop innovation and knowledge transfer projects that help improve the competitiveness of companies. The centres in the Innova FP programme develop innovation projects to improve products, services or processes, whether industrial or managerial, and, following a rapid development methodology, they look for a way to solve the challenge, study its feasibility and immediately move on to the practical creation of prototypes that demonstrate this feasibility. They then improve the prototype until the product is industrialised or the service or process is launched.
What does INNOVA FP need?
The Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality training delivered at Innova FP has helped to raise awareness of these new technologies and to update the knowledge of vocational training teachers in them, which has led to better training for their students.
Benefits
The teaching staff have been able to develop new methodologies, keeping up to date with VR and AR knowledge and techniques used in companies, and consequently improve the curriculum planning of the professional modules they teach; adapting them quickly to the changes in the labour market, innovating with immersive technologies, increasing the competitiveness of companies and improving students' placement in companies.
- New knowledge for vocational training teachers
- Improved student training
- Increased competitiveness of companies
- Improved relationships between training centres and companies
