Case study: Força Lleida

Força Lleida enters the 2026/27 season consolidated as one of the city's leading sports institutions and with the challenge of continuing to grow in the Liga Endesa ACB.

The club has taken a new step in modernising its arena, the Barris Nord, by adding a large-format technology solution designed to transform the experience of players, fans and sponsors: a large LED video scoreboard suspended above the centre of the court, a common feature of major international professional basketball arenas.

Barris Nord Lleida
THE NEED

Evolving the experience inside the arena

The project stems from the collaboration between Força Lleida and INVELON, the club's official technology partner. A long-term agreement that makes technological innovation and territorial commitment two of the axes of shared growth between the two organisations.

In the words of its president, Albert Aliaga, after securing another season in the ACB: “Every game at Barris Nord has been a demonstration of what it means to feel proud of Lleida and of our basketball”, adding that the fans are “the soul of this club”.

Força Lleida's sporting and social growth in a context of maximum competitive demand, and with a fan base increasingly attached to the project, meant that the club needed an audiovisual platform capable of complementing the sporting spectacle, providing real-time information and creating new possibilities for interaction with the public.

The need went beyond a conventional scoreboard. The new system had to become a central element of the match experience and guarantee good visibility from practically any point in the stands, giving the Barris Nord an aesthetic and audiovisual capabilities in keeping with its level of competition.

THE SOLUTION

The technology deployed

INVELON has carried out the complete project, taking charge of financing, procurement, installation, configuration and commissioning.

The installed solution features:

  • 40 m² of total LED surface.
  • 8 faces integrated into a suspended rectangular structure.
  • Approximate dimensions of 4.5 × 2.5 metres.
  • Four main screens of 3 × 2.5 metres, equipped with UslimIII3.9 technology.
  • Four curved faces of 1 × 2.5 metres, with UHF3.9 technology.
  • Curved corners that provide visual continuity across the whole and make it possible to create content with a greater sense of depth and volume.

The video scoreboard is ready to become a genuine audiovisual content hub during matches. Its main applications include displaying advanced statistics, replays, real-time video content, information and promotional content, 3D graphics, ambient animations and commercial activations.

The curvature is one of the installation's main distinguishing features. As Marc Solé, Technical Director and Co-founder of INVELON, explains:

“Its rectangular shape and curved screens make it possible to create content with a very different impact compared with a classic cube or a conventional flat screen; effects and content with a more 3D, enveloping setting, improving visibility from practically any point in the stands and increasing interaction with the fans.”

In this way, the technology is not limited to displaying information: it becomes a tool for building a more dynamic, immersive and participatory audiovisual experience.

THE RESULT

Technology to get the most out of the experience

With the installation of the new LED video scoreboard, the Barris Nord adds a new piece of technology that transforms the way Força Lleida matches are experienced.

Fans can access a greater amount of information and content during the match, from statistics and replays to videos, animations and dynamic content. All of it from a central element visible from practically any location in the stands.

For the club, the installation also means having a new channel for communication and commercial activation. The video scoreboard makes it possible to integrate the club's own content, promotional campaigns and new ways of giving sponsors visibility, expanding the audiovisual exploitation possibilities of the venue.

The new video scoreboard therefore represents another step in that evolution: technology applied to sport to improve the audience experience, strengthen the club's identity and open up new possibilities for communication and business at the Barris Nord.
