Discover the ski resorts with AR Catalogue: Augmented Reality for Tourism at Ara Lleida

Tourism and culture
Case study: Ara Lleida

The solution implemented: AR CATALOGUE

To promote the ski slopes for tourism, we worked with the AR Catalogue tool, offering Ara Lleida two solutions in Augmented Reality.

At Invelon, we worked on a Web Augmented Reality solution; an interactive resource that is accessible and within everyone's reach, in which, through a web page, an animated interactive 3D model of each of the ski slopes can be viewed. In addition, Ara Lleida was also provided with an interactive guide containing all the information.

We also provided an Augmented Reality solution that focuses on viewing the ski slopes anywhere by scanning a QR code with a mobile device or tablet. The representation of the ski resorts shows the types of slopes and their colours, the points of interest, and where the chairlifts or the medical centre are, among other options.

About ARA LLEIDA

Ara Lleida is part of the Patronato de Turismo de la Diputación de Lleida (Lleida Provincial Council Tourism Board), a tourism promotion body created in 1989 to manage the tourism offer of the Lleida counties.

What does ARA LLEIDA need?

Ara Lleida wanted to promote the 11 ski resorts of the Lleida Pyrenees in an interactive and dynamic way to attract more visitors during the winter season.

Benefits

The two Augmented Reality solutions allow potential tourists to enjoy an immersive experience before visiting the slopes, capturing their interest and turning them into prospective tourists.

In addition, they are offered valuable information in a much more dynamic way; presenting the ski slopes and what they can offer is a great help in showing information that might otherwise be less relevant and complete.

Client testimonial

“At Ara Lleida we needed to promote all the ski resorts of the Lleida Pyrenees in an interactive and dynamic way. Invelon proposed an Augmented Reality solution, an animated interactive 3D model of the ski slopes, through which potential tourists could enjoy an immersive experience before visiting the slopes. We managed to attract the interest of more tourists and visitors. Overall, we found the best solution for visitors to have all the information in a more dynamic and interactive way”.
