A: The Together for EU Tourism (T4T) group was created to lead the green and digital transition strategy of the European tourism ecosystem, as established by the EU's Transition Pathway for Tourism.
Specifically, the Digital Transition subgroup acts as an advisory and driving body. Its main function is to advise the European Commission on decision-making, public policy design and the technological roadmap.
Among other things, we assess how artificial intelligence, data management, digital twins and immersive experiences can make European tourism more competitive, environmentally friendly and accessible in the face of global challenges.
A: Digitalization and sustainability go hand in hand. This is what we call the "Twin Transition" in Europe. Technology makes it possible, for example, to reduce the carbon footprint through digital guides and itineraries that eliminate physical materials, or to intelligently redirect the flow of tourists towards less crowded areas.
In addition, virtual reality makes it possible to create educational experiences about the conservation of protected natural areas without causing any physical impact on them.
A: We bring experience and knowledge, a technical and practical perspective, gained from the numerous projects developed over almost a decade in the tourism, heritage and culture sectors. In European public administration, broad visions for the future are often defined, and in order to develop them with guarantees, leading companies in the sector are needed to bring these ideas down to the ground.
This experience allows INVELON to bring to the Commission the know-how acquired over the years through the creation, development and implementation of training, maintenance, cultural outreach and interactive tourism experience projects.
We are also proud to bring a territorial perspective, the regional sensitivity of all the territories where we are present with our own teams, with offices, or where our clients are located and where we have developed projects.
The digitalization of tourism should not be concentrated solely in major capitals, but should extend to cultural, rural and sustainable destinations throughout the continent, an essential factor for the genuine democratization of technology.
